The School of Municipal and Environment Engineering was one of the first faculties of the University to be founded. It currently offers four undergraduate degree programs: Environmental Engineering; Safety Engineering; Environmental Science; Water Supply and Sewerage. The school recruits students from across China and currently has over 1300 students on various courses. Within the department there are nine full professors, nineteen associate professors; over 60% of our teaching staff have Masters degrees and more than ten are currently working towards, or have completed, a PhD. Over the past two years, staff at the school have published over 150 articles of which more than 20 have been indexed by SCI, EI and ISTP. More than 20 books have been published by staff since the department opened. The school has also won six national research awards and is responsible for four patents.
Under the Faculty, there are 10 secondary agencies, including the Office of General Branch Members, Environmental Engineering Faculty, Faculty of Safety Engineering, Environmental Science Teaching and Research Section, Faculty of Water Supply and Sewerage Engineering, Hydrology and Hydrogeology Teaching and Research Section and the Analysis Testing Center and Experimental Teaching Center. There are also 11 teaching laboratories which contain equipment and resources amounting to over 1000 million Yuan.
Environmental Engineering and Municipal Engineering are the two college level key subjects within the school.
